The Mission of ਮੰਗਲਾਚਰਨ

Manglacharan is dedicated to shedding light on the treasure trove of knowledge passed down by our ancestors, which has not yet been translated into English.  For the past ten years Manglacharan has provided translations of passages from important theological and historical texts within the Sikh tradition, namely from:

  • Dasam Guru Granth Sahib, Sarbloh Granth, Gobind Gita by Guru Gobind Singh Ji

  • Kabit Svaiyay (17th century) by Bhai Gurdas Ji

  • Gur Sobha (1711) by Sainapati

  • Gurbilas Patshahi Dasvi (1751) by Koer Singh

  • Bansavalinama (1769) by Kesar Singh Chibber

  • Moksh Panth Prakash (1788) by Pandit Gulab Singh

  • Prabodh Chandar Natak (1789) by Pandit Gulab Singh

  • Garab Ganjani Tika (1829) by the Great Poet Santokh Singh

  • Sarkutavali (1833) by Pandit Hardyal Ji

  • Gurpratap Suraj Prakash Granth (1843) by the Great Poet Santokh Singh

  • Vichar Sagar (19th century) by Nischal Das

  • Sri Gur Pad Prem Prakash (1880) by Baba Sumer Singh

  • Navin Panth Prakash (1880) by Gyani Gyan Singh

  • Twarikh Guru Khalsa (1880) by Gyani Gyan Singh

  • Faridkot Tika (1883) first full commentary of Guru Granth Sahib

  • Khalsa Dharam Shastra (1914) by Avatar Singh Vahiria

Having settled in the diaspora, our generation, who now have the time and resources, are eager to understand their rich history and cultural context.  Unfortunately, due to many lost and mistranslated works, one can feel lost and uncertain of the meanings and context of these texts.  Over the years we have been slowly working to draw attention to a vast bank of masterworks that shed a new light to the Sikh path.

Your support for this intense work is instrumental in securing this knowledge bank for our future generations.  If you feel this a worthy project, we encourage you to share this link with your friends and family.

Truly Blessed for all support received...
