ਪ੍ਰਥਮੈ ਚਰਨ ਸਰੋਜਨ ਬੰਦਹਿਂ । ਆਗੇ ਧਰਹਿਂ ਅਕੋਰ ਬਿਲੰਦਹਿਂ ।
ਉਡਤਿ ਗੁਲਾਲ ਘਟਾ ਜਨੁ ਹੋਈ । ਰੰਗ ਬੂੰਦ ਬਰਖਤਿ ਹੈ ਸੋਈ ।27।
The Sikh congregation would first come and bow down to the lotus-like feet of Guru Hargobind, then place their offerings in front of the Guru, [before] throwing coloured powder, it was as if clouds of red powder were rising up, and then the colours dropping were like heavy rains.
ਜਨੁ ਸੰਧ੍ਯਾ ਮਿਲਿਬੇ ਕਹੁ ਆਈ । ਹਰਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਮੁਖ ਚੰਦ ਸੁਹਾਈ ।
ਮਿਲ੍ਯੋ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਗੁਲਾਲ ਉਡੰਤਾ । ਖੇਲਤਿ ਹੋਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਗਕੰਤਾ ।28।
Guru Hargobind, whose face looked radiant like the moon, appeared [in the congregation] like the moon coming to great the evening. Throwing red coloured powder through the air - the Master of the World played Holi.
ਛੁਟਤਿ ਅੰਬਰੀਨ ਮੂਠ ਬਡੇਰੀ । ਦੁਹਿਂ ਦਿਸਿ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕਰਿ ਹੇਲੋ ਗੇਰੀ ।
ਹੋਲੀ ਖੇਲ ਛੁਟਤਿ ਪਿਚਕਾਰੀ । ਭਰਿ ਭਰਿ ਮੂਠ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਡਾਰੀ ।29।
Fistfuls of blue powder were thrown in the air, from all sides everyone was partaking in the festivities of Holi, powder-guns [Pichkaris] were being filled with coloured-powder and were shot out at the participants.
