ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲ ਕੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਹੋਤੀ ਭਈ । ਤਬ ਪਾਰਸੀ ਲਿਖਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਉਕ ਮਨ ਪਈ ।9। At the age of seven, a keen desire arose in the mind of [Guru Gobind Singh] to write Persian. ਪਾਰਸੀ ਲਿਖਣ-ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਸਿਖਣ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਲਗੇ । ਉਹ ਸਿਖ (ਹਰਿਜਸੁ) ਮੁਨਸ਼ੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਰਹੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਅਗੇ । ਏਕ ਸਾਂਲ ਮੋ ਪਾਰਸੀ ਸਿਖ ਲਈ । The Master began learning how to read and write Persian, and would sit at the feet of the Sikh, Munshi [writer] Harjasu, to learn.
