Others have Holi but ours will be Hola - Guru Gobind Singh Ji

ਰਿਤੁ ਬਸੰਤ ਇਤਨੇ ਮੈ ਆਈ । ਹੋਰੀ ਕੀ ਤਯਾਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਈ । ਕਹਯੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਨਿਧਿ ਬਚਨ ਅਮੋਲਾ । ਔਰਨ ਕੀ ਹੋਲੀ ਮਮ ਹੋਲਾ ।⁣

In these days the season of Basant arrived, and the preparations for Holi commenced, the Treasure Trove of Grace, Guru Gobind Singh, said in a priceless command, "Others have Holi but ours will be Hola"⁣

ਸਜ ਸਜ ਸਭ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਸੂਰ ਬਰ। ਬਾਂਧੇ ਗੋਲ ਖਰੇ ਤੇ ਹਿਤਬਰ । ਸਸਤਰ ਅਸਤਰ ਸਜਤੇ ਸਭ ਭਾਂਤੀ । ਰੂਪ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸੀਲ ਗੁਣ ਖਯਾਤੀ ।⁣

All the powerful warriors adorned all sorts of supplies and weapons, forming battalions of riflemen and standing at the ready, adorned with blades and projectiles of all varieties, such a form is pleasing, sweet and full of virtue.⁣

ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਛਕਿ ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਕੋ । ਹੇਰਤ ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਿ ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਕੋ । ਨੈਨ ਐਨਰਤ ਨਾਰੇ ਸਭ ਕੇ । ਪਗੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਗ ਧੂਰਿ ਅਲਭ ਕੇ । ⁣
