ਭੂਲ ਜੋ ਚੂਕ ਭਈ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਗੁਰ ! ਕਿੰਕਰ ਸੋ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਬਖਸ਼ਾਵਤਿ ।

Oh Guru, the mistakes and errors I've made, as your servant I am asking for forgiveness from them

ਲਾਜ ਰਖੋ ਨਿਜ ਨਾਮਹਿ ਕੀ, ਸਿਖ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਜਗ ਮਾਂਹਿ ਕਹਾਵਤਿ ।

Please keep the honour of your name, because in this world I call myself a Sikh of the Guru.

ਤੁੰ ਬਖਸ਼ੰਦ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਇਕ, ਮੋ ਮਨ ਨਾਂਹਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਛੁਟਕਾਵਤਿ ।

You are the forever the Forgiver and Bliss-Bestower; I cannot escape the draw to sensual pleasures in my mind.

ਲੋਹ ਤੇ ਹੇਮ ਇਰੰਡ ਤੇ ਚੰਦਨ, ਮਾਨੁਖ ਤੇ ਸੁਰ ਤੁੰ ਹੀ ਬਨਾਵਤਿ ।

Only you can change iron to gold, castor bean [a poisonous plant] to sandalwood, and a man into a Devta.
