The Prabodhcandrodaya - The Rise of the Moon of Awakening

The Prabodhcandrodaya - The Rise of the Moon of Awakening, is a very influential Sanskrit play, written at the end of the 11th century. Rooted in Advaita Vedanta philosophy, the text took numerous forms over the centuries, including a Persian version (17th century), as well as a Braj Bhasha version (18th century) translated by Pandit Gulab Singh, a Nirmala Sikh.

Kharag Singh Prasang

The Tale of Kharag Singh, a uniquely Sikh tale interwoven within the vernacular retellings of the Sanskrit tales of Krishna, found within the Dasam Granth. The tale is emblematic of the driving warrior spirit within the Sikh community, and may be a foundational text, setting the tone for future folk lore related to Sikh warriors, such as the tale of Baba Deep Singh.
